Ice T and his fellow West Coast rap stars may be popular and well known, but they aren't silly enough to think their celebrity will protect them from the crime in LA.
Ice T claims people want him to comment about the dangerous gang culture in LA and he claims his actions speak for themself.
According to rapper-turned-actor Ice T, he and Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, and other famous left-coast rappers aren't wearing their bling in public because they know how dangerous it is.
Dr. Dre is scared of being mugged because the gangsters in LA don't care who they knock over.
Of course, it's obvious rap culture does nothing to help the gang problems with their crime-glorifying lyrics.
But this acknowledgment that LA has a SERIOUS crime problem from Ice T is serious news.
