Reddit is out here asking the important questions today

Sometimes, I like to take a break from sifting through the cesspool of Twitter to see what the cesspool of Reddit is up to.

Rarely am I disappointed.

Disgusted, yes, but not disappointed.

Most of the comments there are a masterclass in how most people never left behind the bathroom humor of 3rd grade, which explains a lot about our society and its current trajectory.

There was one good reply tho:

Fortunately, there were more engaging questions that people also wanted to answer:

Some of the best replies:

Then we come to this trending question:

Oof. Poor Zuck. The guy must be devastated that we're not all signing up for his little universe.

This is a screenshot he posted btw:

The replies:

Now, you may be wondering what the point is here.

Did I write an article just to showcase that people say random things on the internet?

Well, yes, so deal with it.

But more than just a brain break, this is a good reminder of how hilarious AND ridiculous the human race is.

Sometimes, we see everyone on the internet as either a friend or foe in an epic contest ruled by malevolent tyrants trying to think of ways to squash us like bugs.

And while there's some truth to that, we should also remember that from the top down, the world is full of rather foolish people doing stupid (and occasionally wonderful) things, and that a place like Twitter or Reddit reflects the universal human need for God to save us.

The people at the top may have their intelligence and power magnified, but we should also remember that their stupidity is magnified just as much, resulting in the WEF working to shut down farms for the climate, U.S. politicians passing a new $739 billion bill to fix the weather and reduce inflation, or one of the world's richest men dumping billions into a digital world so he can escape from the real one.

So, take heart: Most of the people who want to ram their agenda down our throats might mess up the world a great deal, but the good news is that most of their malice is actually stupidity that's as stupid as the Reddit stupidity you just read... and stupidity never wins in the end!

"Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity." - Hanlon's razor

"Misunderstandings and lethargy perhaps produce more wrong in the world than deceit and malice do." โ€“ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
