May I present to you the Christian, conservative, family values Republican party.
Here's Nancy Mace at the Prayer Breakfast in DC:
When I woke up this morning at 7, I was getting picked up at 7:45, Patrick, my fiancé, tried to pull me by the waist over this morning, and I was like, 'No baby, we don't have time for that this morning. I gotta get to the prayer breakfast, and I gotta be on time.' A little TMI, haha!
Uh yeah. An unmarried woman discussing having sex with her boyfriend and putting it off because she has to go to the prayer breakfast.
So conservative, so Christian!
I'm gonna hit ya with something that some "conservative Christians" have forgotten:
All sexual deviancy, not just the rainbow pride type, ought to be shameful.
It ought to be embarrassing. Sin should make us uncomfortable.
But now, even in supposedly religious circles that care about tradition and principle, its the punchline to a joke.
What exactly are you conserving otherwise? You say you fight for God's designs in marriage and parenting and sexuality but then live according to your own definitions?
You can call me a prude. You can call me a fuddy-duddy. You can call me judgmental. I do not care.
There's no room for a Christian-branded faith event to host a woman who, as we used to say, is living in sin.
