Last year, researchers (funded by the secretive group of billionaires behind the Pritzker Innovation Fund) met together on an abandoned aircraft carrier off the coast of Alameda, California, and initiated an experiment designed to block out the sun.
The idea was to alter clouds and make them reflect the sun's rays back into space thus stopping climate change.
Cue the Greenfinger music, Mr. Bond!
Luckily, local officials caught wind of the experiment (from a New York Times article of all places) and shut it down before things went too far, but that experiment was just the tip of the melting iceberg.
According to Politico, that failed experiment was just going to be a small demonstration of the group's power, and they intended to blot out a much larger area of the sun's rays after that.
That initial test was only meant to be a prequel. Even before it began, the researchers were talking with donors and consultants about conducting a 3,900-square-mile cloud-creation test off the west coasts of North America, Chile or south-central Africa, according to more than 400 internal documents.

That experiment has been scrubbed as well.
Apparently, no one is comfortable with scientists purposefully messing with the weather.
But the Bond-villain billionaires are undeterred.
โThe Pritzker Innovation Fund believes in the importance of research that helps improve climate models and enables policymakers and the public to better understand whether climate interventions like marine cloud brightening are feasible and advisable,' Rachel Pritzker, the fund's founder and president, said in a statement. โWe will only get answers to these questions through open research that can inform science-based, democratic decision-making.'
Pritzker fails to mention that the answers to these questions could be that this kind of geoengineering unleashes a wave of unstoppable natural disasters.
But how will we know unless we try it?
Might as well ask, how anyone can know if that chamber has the bullet if no one pulls the trigger.

Please stop giving these people money while there's still hope for the future!
