A recently retired New Yorker, 71-year-old Johnnie Taylor, will have a much nicer retirement than he was expecting after winning New York's largest-ever Mega Millions jackpot - a whopping $476 million.

After taxes that will only amount to $157 million, but I'm sure that's a lot more than Taylor had set aside for retirement in all his years as a handyman.

Taylor, who lives in Queens, says that his wife didn't believe him when he first realized that he won. He went on to say of the win,

It still doesn't feel real.

But it is real, and Taylor has a lot of plans for his winnings, starting with a new house and car to see him and his wife through their retirement years.

He also plans to donate some of his winnings to his local church.

I'm sure they'll take a lenient view on gambling in this case.
