“Rich Men North of Richmond” is now at the top of the iTunes GLOBAL charts

Oliver Anthony most assuredly does not live north of Richmond, but at this point he seems to be on the cusp of becoming a rich man — and deservedly so:

Virginia factory worker Oliver Anthony has a certified hit on his hands with 'Rich Men North of Richmond' as the song has soared to No. 1 on Apple Music's global charts.

The song, released in early August, is sitting at the top alongside notable names like Taylor Swift, Doja Cat, Travis Scott, and fellow country singer Morgan Wallen.

If you're wondering what a "Doja Cat" is 👇

Taylor Swift is the most successful artist in the world right now and Travis Scott is an insanely popular rapper. But Oliver Anthony is beating both of them with his populist anthem about normal people fed up with their elitist leaders.

The man has also racked up 18 million views on YouTube, six million views on Spotify, and his song is "currently being predicted as a contender to hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart come late August."

Two weeks ago, he was a guy uploading phone videos to YouTube for 30 people.

He's also playing to sold-out crowds while reading from the Bible. No biggie.

Keep it up, Oliver, you're killing it.

(P.S. - How many "journalists" do you think the Rich Men North of Richmond have employed sifting through every detail of his life in an effort to destroy him right now?)
