Dave Lester is just a regular guy from Lake Tahoe, Nevada who wants to show his Christmas spirit.

Unfortunately, this bear had a different idea:

Lester posted the video of the bear, along with the aftermath of the attack, to his Facebook page.

The bear was walking through Lester's front yard in the Lake Tahoe area of Nevada when it attacked Rudolph, totally unprovoked.

Lester told Fox News that this wasn't the first time the bear, a frequent traveler through his yard, has had a run-in with Rudolph.

There were a couple stare downs last year but for some reason he just figured he was going to make a meal out of Rudolph

Bears are gonna bear I guess.

RIP Rudolph. He was so young.
