No surprises here, as the capital city of California wants to make sure no matter what happens in other states, kids will have the opportunity to be mutilated.
Sacramento's resolution would block all city resources from being used to help enforce laws from other states that restrict medical gender transitions for children and adults. The measure would impose "corrective action" on city officials found in violation, but it does not detail what those actions could be.
"We see this as a strengthening measure," said Councilwoman Katie Valenzuela, sponsor of the resolution, according to the Los Angeles Times. "This is more than just protecting the people who live here. This is also about protecting people who come here from other communities to ensure that we're not aiding law enforcement activities in their home jurisdiction who may seek to criminalize their quest for healthcare."
A sanctuary city for migrants is one thing, but a sanctuary city where you provide irreversible damage to runaway children and hide them from parents and officers who are looking to bring them home??
How else are we to interpret the fact that:
- This law includes minors.
- They won't help law enforcement in "home jurisdictions"?
Twenty-three states have already enacted laws restricting or outright banning gender surgeries for kids, and seven states have enacted laws doing the same for adults. California, meanwhile, wants to be on the opposite side of the "don't mutilate kids" moment in history, I guess.
If you need more proof, Gavin Newsom already signed a bill in 2022 which allows kids from states where transing the kids is illegal to come mutilate themselves in California, so really, this whole vote this is probably just an example of pandering by the city.
14 states and Washington, D.C., have passed "shield laws" similar to California's sanctuary law to permit child transitions.
Blue cities, where kids become science experiments for money-hungry doctors so virtue-signaling politicians can pretend to be kind.
