When civilizations of the future look back on this era in human history, they will surely have one question and one question only: "Why?"

The newest viral, death-defying stunt on TikTok is here, and it's called "death diving."

The extreme sport, which originated from Norway in the 1970s and is called dødsing, is gaining traction on TikTok. Diving enthusiasts jump off massive heights, sometimes over 80 feet in the air, in an attempt to perform the greatest "death dive."

So what does a "death dive" look like? In a word: Painful. Here's how the pros do it:

Don't worry, though. As countless people belly-flop into water, breaking their ribs and dislodging their internal organs, TikTok wants you to know that it takes your safety very safely:

The trend carries a warning label on TikTok: "The actions in this video are performed by professionals or supervised by professionals. Do not attempt."

I'm sure this isn't another dangerous trend the communist-controlled company is promoting to make Americans stupider and, well, dead.
