Good luck with that!

Yo, our country is a joke.

Need proof?

Yup, very serious stuff from our friends over at Vice.

Trans people, living in the freest country on Earth, are looking to seek international asylum because of how bad they're treated.

Yeah, good luck with that one.

Some beautiful satire from Vice:

Rynn Azerial Willgohs, a 50-year-old transgender woman, has been rapidly researching ways to flee the United States. She's from the U.S., but with physical attacks against transgender and nonbinary people on the rise and lawmakers targeting transgender people with increasingly draconian legislation that criminalizes their very existence, Willgohs is worried.

That's right, transgender life is so bad in the United States that Willgohs just doesn't feel safe here.

Willgohs is considering claiming asylum in Iceland, a country she visited last summer and considers more accepting — and safer — than the U.S. And she felt like being trans was a "non-issue" while there…

"All you need to do is look at the news and see how bad it's going to get in the country," Willgohs said. "We're accused of being pedophiles and of grooming children. We're being accused of being a social contagion that makes every child think they are in the queer community. That's the farthest from the truth."

Ohhh, spooky!

Maybe, just maybe, the group with that ever-expanding acronym could stop trying to push their lifestyles on our children, be it in school, on television, or at one of those family-friendly drag shows where men dance in lingerie for kids. Because no matter how hard you pretend to believe it's not, this whole thing is purely social contagion.

Moving on…

Willgohs stumbled on the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees' guidelines on refugee status based on sexual and gender orientation.

"I was like, ‘Wait a minute, this is crazy," Willgohs remembered thinking. "I can actually declare asylum just because I'm trans?'"

She's currently reaching out to LGBTQ organizations in European countries to learn more about the options that exist for her and the people she hopes to help flee.

Bye.

Sayonara.

If it's that bad, go.

I find it sad that Vice threw up this headline and they were only able to find a few trans people actually considering this!
