One-hundred-year-old identical twins Bill and Jack Casey are believed to be the oldest living set of twins. They recently celebrated their 100th birthday at their retirement home in Oxfordshire, England, complete with birthday cards sent by King Charles.
When asked what led to his long life, the older of the twins, Bill, said his secret is,
clean and healthy living, staying active, sheer determination, and good genes.
There's no doubt good genes play a part in their case, since his brother Jack was at his side for the momentous occasion.
Bill told SWNS News Service,
I always intended to reach 100, and now it's here, I'm looking forward to the next 100!
The two experienced a lot of life together, both having joined the British Army in 1945, during World War II, where Bill admitted that the two utilized their identical appearance to play a lot of tricks on their fellow soldiers.
Now, 80 years later, the two are still living life side-by-side in their retirement home.
When asked for his advice to the next generation, he told them,
Have an interest in sports - and keep yourself active.
I can't say that I've heard that advice before, but sure, why not?
