At ICON Park in Orlando, there is a giant Ferris wheel, called The Wheel (real creative naming, I know) that stands over 400-feet tall. Instead of seats, there are cabins with air-conditioning and stability control.
The wheel cost nearly $30 per ticket to ride, and if riding in a luxury compartment on a giant wheel wasn't enough to entice folks to part with that much money, the park developed a game called Bullseye Blast that could be played as an upgrade for $5.95.
Riders would receive laser blasters and shoot down at 50 different targets located on the tops of buildings throughout the park.
It turns out a few people, and I do mean a few, thought that the game was insensitive because of...well you know...guns:
However, considering ICON park has had some well-deserved bad press lately over not following its own safety guidelines, which led to the death of one of its customers, the amusement park decided to put the project on hold before the woke mob really started raging.
They're trying to find a way to save the project that took over a year to develop. Something that "won't offend the community."
Good luck with that!
