This may be the most galaxy brain take in the history of United States politics.

The Philadelphia District Attorney's Office SERIOUSLY made this statement about gun crimes in Philadelphia:

What the actual heck???

• Step 1: Pass gun control
• Step 2: Don't enforce gun control laws (probably because it's racist)
• Step 3: We don't know
• Step 4: No more murder

Gun control laws are SO effective that enforcing them is not only unnecessary but also counterproductive.

But prosecutors said there was "little research supporting the approach." And they noted that one category of gun possession — carrying without a license — was a felony in Philadelphia but a misdemeanor in the rest of the state. They called that legislative decision "inequitable and obviously racist" and said they believe the Police Department's focus on arresting people for that crime "is having no effect on the gun violence crisis."

I didn't have to read anything else in the story to know that the woke Philly DA's Office would call enforcing gun laws in the city racist.

It's just too obvious.

So gun control laws are essential but also enforcing them is racist.

Well if that isn't the most perfect encapsulation of wokeness in history...
