How are things going in California, you ask?

Well, some guy walked into a police station last week, dropped off animal remains and a human jawbone, then walked out.

The San Bernardino Police Department tried to find him "but were unsuccessful."

Good news: the mystery man was eventually identified and located.

According to a social media post, the police department was initially unsure if the remains were real. But the Coroner's Office soon determined the grim package was very much real.

One of the bones was determined to be a human jawbone, but it's still unclear how the man got his hands on it or who the jawbone belonged to.

A mystery indeed...
