Here are all the weird moments from the DC circus show last night, including the absolutely shameful one about "Lincoln Riley"

Up front, I want you to know my bias as we get into this.

I'm not a Biden fan, but not because I view Democrats as inherently evil and Republicans as saints. There was a time, not too long ago - before the Democratic Party delved deep into the mines of wokeness and found demons in the dark - that I found commonalities with them on policies related to trade, civil liberties, education, and the like.

I also don't view Biden as some special antichrist or have hatred of him in my heart. His father believed he was an old-country aristocrat who deserved to be part of the New World's ruling class, but he fell out of wealth and was forced to sell used cars to support his family. That weight fell heavily on Joe Biden. Getting into politics allowed him to enrich the family name and regain his father's honor. This explains his career, his mannerisms, his angry outbursts, and the 10% for the Big Guy. It's not a righteous tale, but it's a common one in human history.

I want you to know this because it helps if you see Biden as a fallen man who believes himself to be an aristocrat, not a kindly old civil servant or the devil incarnate, when you watch clips like this:

I dunno what it is about Biden and this claim that he's set us on the glorious path to cure cancer, but he keeps bringing it up every year - perhaps because his core supporters tend to be retired Democrats on Social Security and Medicaid.

He also appealed to his base - the millennial feminist girlboss and the retired old-school libs - by essentially calling half of his countrymen extremists (again).

(Trump had thoughts)

Oh, he also essentially threatened the Supreme Court because they ended federal control over killing babies.

That kind of vilification, and the refusal to use Trump's name (only ever referring to him as "my predecessor") earned Biden an angry outburst from the gallery.

American politics is so polite compared to, well, every other country. I expect we'll see more of that as the temperature heats up.

Biden was forced to defend his economic record, which is a hard sell since my family, and probably yours, is really struggling to afford basic necessities right now and there's no extra cash to even think about investing in Bitcoin or NVIDIA or any of the things our politicians get rich off of with inside trading.

All of us are Mike Johnson right now:

I did appreciate his call to up the Child Tax Credit, which helped my family immensely by requiring our single-income home with 4 kids to pay less to the federal juggernaut during the Covid scare. I also liked his proposal to give us a $400 a month tax credit if we buy a home to help us afford our mortgage.

The only problem?

Even with $400 a month, it'd be tough for my family to afford a bigger home even though my income is more than double what it was when we bought it 9 years ago.

(Because of Biden and friends at the Fed.)

Biden also ramped up his usual lies about modern guns and the 2A as he sought to take away the weapons of tens of millions of Americans.

The most shameful moment of the night started when Marjorie Taylor-Greene gave Biden a pin with Laken Riley's name - the Georgia college student who was brutally murdered by an illegal alien who had committed several crimes but hadn't been deported.

Biden claimed he knew Riley's name, but then he butchered it when the GOP heckled him into mentioning her name.

He also invoked his own dead children, yet again, as he does every time the topic of death and grief is mentioned.

For me, this was the "Emperor Has No Clothes" moment of the speech. It disgusted me. You can like Biden and his policies better than Trump, but you can't shy away from the fact that his immigration policy is a purposeful attempt to bring in new warm bodies for the Democratic Party. House seats are awarded by total population, not total citizens. Biden's attorney general is working diligently, in his own words, to kill voter ID requirements. Clinton's push to start outsourcing jobs for cheap labor is now becoming more difficult, so trafficking them into the nation to balance out rising costs is profitable.

The consequence of that are millions of unvetted illegals, many of them criminals that are being purposefully sent here by their home countries to reduce the prison population (see Venezuela).

Laken Riley is just the avatar for the many 100% preventable deaths that are yet to come across America, and Biden cares so little that he doesn't even know her name.

He spent way more time talking about Ukraine's borders and potato chip shrinkflation.

That says a lot to me about the supposed character of Joe Biden.

After the speech, this exchange happened:

I'll leave you with this:
