Deputies from the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office in South Carolina arrested Shannon Lee Cantrell after it was reported that a man was seen throwing a dog into a body of water over the side of a 34-foot bridge, not once, but twice!

Deputies found the 43-year-old man wandering below the bridge, carrying the soaking-wet dog in a chokehold.

At least he had the wits about him to make a good excuse for repeatedly tossing the poor animal into the water: witches told him to do it!

From the look of his mugshot, the witch may very well have been himself.

But if you happen to see him in the background of a particular Disney star's new documentary, I think we can safely assume who the witches are who have been influencing him...

Thankfully the poor dog appeared to be ok, besides being wet and obviously shaken up, and was taken to Greenville County Animal Care for assessment.
