The Lammert family was in the headlines three years ago when they had three girls with the same birthday ... and now it's four.
Nick and Kristen Lammert had all four girls exactly three years apart, with Sophia, 9, Giuiliana, 6, and Mia, 3, welcoming their newest sister, Valentina, on August 25 of this year.
Kristin says she is still in disbelief. She told GMA,
We really just couldn't believe it, we still can't believe it. I keep writing it down, and I still can't believe it.
Valentina arriving on the shared birthday was especially surprising, considering her due date was not until September 25, but when Kristin began experiencing preeclampsia symptoms on August 23, she was told to come into the hospital to deliver the baby much sooner than expected.
Because at that moment, we were really mostly concerned about the health of the baby and myself, and I wouldn't say we didn't realize the date, but the bigger focus was about making sure she was okay and that it wasn't putting enough stress on the baby, and that I would be okay. And then when it kept getting closer to midnight, we then thought it was funny.
Baby Valentina played her part and arrived after midnight on August 25, just in time to celebrate her three older sisters' birthdays.
Despite arriving a month early, and the preeclampsia scare, both baby and mom are doing well. Valentina was healthy and strong and didn't require a stay in the NICU, so she was able to join her very excited sisters at home without delay.
And for those of you who were wondering, no, none of these births were scheduled.
None of the Lammert daughters' births were scheduled C-sections or scheduled inductions, so it's truly chance all four were born on the same day.
Oh, did I mention that August 25th was also the birthday of Kristin's childhood dog?
The birthday of my dog that I had growing up was Aug. 25
God has the best sense of humor, doesn't He?
