I hate to be the bearer of bad news (especially so close to Christmas) but here's more on the supply chain crisis...

McDonald's Japan is facing a very serious shortage– potatoes!

They are being forced to ration their french fries (something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy) and will only be selling small-sized fries. 🍟

"Due to large-scale flooding near the Port of Vancouver … and the global supply chain crunch caused by the coronavirus pandemic, there are delays in the supply of potatoes."

I'm ashamed to say this seems to be Canada's fault... their potatoes come from us and we really dropped the ball.

I am so sorry, Japan. You don't deserve this.

There are more than 3,000 McDonald's restaurants in Japan and they imported an emergency supply of 1,000 tonnes of frozen fries by air.

McDonald's Japan will only be selling small-sized fries for the foreseeable future, and let's face it... a small is never enough. 😞
