Super lib Stephen King forced to issue correction after wildly overstating number of COVID deaths in Florida

Stephen King on Friday took to Twitter to offer a sharp criticism of Florida's handling of the COVID crisis, claiming the state saw a staggering 1,200 deaths from the virus in "ONE SINGLE DAY:"

There was just one small, insignificant problem with that assessment: It was completely and utterly wrong. Florida reported 1,200 deaths from COVID-19 not over the course of 24 hours but over the course of literal weeks:

The latest COVID-19 data from the CDC on Thursday shows an increase of 1,296 deaths from the total reported a day earlier.

Those deaths did not all happen over the past day and span back weeks.

To his credit, King subsequently issued a correction of the earlier tweet, though he couldn't help but criticize the DeSantis administration while doing it:

The craziest part: Over 24 hours after King's initial, highly misleading tweet, Twitter still hasn't slapped a "misinformation" label on it. Why is that, do you think?
