Steve Martin reportedly turned down playing Tim Walz on SNL

Well, I sure hope Steve Martin isn't anti-baby murder or anti-kid mutilation. That could be bad for his career if someone in Hollywood finds out that's why he turned down this role.

Steve Martin's next role will not be the Midwestern politician the internet hoped he'd portray …

The Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday that ‘SNL' producer Lorne Michaels called Martin to offer him the role on the upcoming 50th season, premiering Sept. 28, which he declined.

"I'm not an impressionist," Martin told SNL's Lorne Michaels, when he really meant to say he'd prefer not to play a demonic baby-killing, child-sexualizing, pedophile-enabling vice presidential candidate.

But man, Martin would've been the perfect star to play Walz and continue the propaganda that Tim is simply a wholesome dad full of love and acceptance.

(He's not.)

More on that here:

Well, even though Steve Martin declined the offer, I'm still pretty excited to see who SNL chooses to play Tim Walz for the first month of season 50!
