Take a break and smile at this calf named "Happy," who was born with a smiley-face on his side.

A bull born on Barry Coster's dairy farm, Happy was considered a bobby calf, meaning a surplus animal.

He might have been sold as a steer for butchering or joined the mating bull herd, except God blessed happy with a case of pareidolia, the tendency of people to see a human face where there isn't one--like the man in the moon or Jesus on toast.

In Happy's case, the young bull has what appears to be a smiley face on his side.

Sure it's just a random combination of black spots, but looking at him makes people smile back.

"We've seen some number sevens or love hearts on the head, and a few strange markings, but we've never seen anything that resembles a smiley face before," Mrs Coster said when Mr. Coster sent her a picture of the calf.

"I couldn't believe it — I actually zoomed in at first to make sure that none of our workers had added some extra lines or anything."

Mr. Coster says that gift of making people smile has earned Happy a permanent place on his dairy farm, living out a bull's best life as a happiness generator.

As an added benefit, Mr. Coster says that Happy is "one heck of a natural lawn mower."
