Hey, that's no way to treat a hero! 14 NY Senate Democrats are trying to repeal Gov. Cuomo's emergency powers.

Things are not looking so good for the Emmy award-winning governor of New York.

First, it came to light that he covered up the actual number of people who died as a result of his policy of sending Covid-positive elderly back to their nursing homes where they infected other residents (the real number was nearly DOUBLE!). And his administration admitted that they only covered it up for the very good reason that they didn't want to get in trouble for it!

Then a Republican representative said he's filing a criminal complaint against Cuomo's aide who admitted to covering up the nursing home deaths.

And now fourteen ungrateful Democrats in the New York State Senate are trying to remove this Covid hero's emergency powers too!

According to Fox News,

"Without exception, the New York State Constitution calls for the Legislature to govern as a co-equal branch of government. While COVID-19 has tested the limits of our people and state-- and, early during the pandemic, required the government to restructure decision making to render rapid, necessary public health judgements-- it is clear that the expanded emergency powers granted to the Governor are no longer appropriate," a joint statement by the state Senators said.

Wow.

Could this be the "Sea of Division" that Cuomo's "New York Tough" poster foretold us about??

That or just your normal every day reckoning with incompetence and deceit. 🤷‍♂️

Cuomo's temporary dictatorsh—I mean "emergency powers" are set to expire at the end of April, but these state senators want this madness to end early.

"While the executive's authority to issue directives is due to expire on April 30, we urge the Senate to advance and adopt a repeal as expeditiously as possible."

I have a feeling the Democratic Party is getting ready to break up with Cuomo. I just hope they let him down easy.
