The 20th Texas city just banned abortion, identifying as a "sanctuary for the unborn" ๐Ÿ˜ค

This is some good news.

The city of Carbon, Texas (what a Texan name for you right there) just voted to ban abortions...

Officially becoming the 20th city in the state to become a sanctuary for the unborn.

The small town of 348 people joins a growing chain of locales that are putting their foot down against the intentional killing of unwanted children.

I'm SURE the media and the political left (but I repeat myself) will now attempt to present a balanced view of why a city might want to outlaw baby slaughter.

Mayor Corey Hull was instrumental in the decision. Corey was born as the result of a one night stand after his drug addicted mother was kicked out of her house by her husband.

Instead of aborting him, Corey's mom chose life, as did the family that adopted him.

"I believe God has a purpose for every child," he said. "I am proof. I am living proof. Living. Abortion kills. I could have been aborted. The miracle never stops."

This is what Corey had to say about his adoptive family:

"They never hesitated... They gave me a mother, a father and a loving older brother. They taught me the love of Jesus Christ. Looking at the circumstances surrounding my conception and the statistics of how prevalent abortion was at that time, I am convinced that my birth was a miracle of God."

Here's how a Sanctuary for the Unborn ordinance works:

  • Each town legally recognizes unborn children with the rights afforded all human beings.
  • Abortions and abortion clinics are prohibited from the city.
  • Criminal fines are established against local abortionists and anyone who helps with an abortion. While this can't be enforced until Roe is overturned, it sets a precedent for future rulings and the federal and state levels.
  • A path to private liability, however, is immediately established. This means that any living relative of the aborted child - whether the mother, father, siblings, grandparents, etc., may sue the abortionist.
  • Women who seek abortions are not fined or prosecuted.

One resident had this to say:

"The whole idea of killing your offspring goes totally against the idea of passing down a legacy, a heritage. It goes against our God given desire to protect the innocent and helpless. It is morally wrong. We wonder why there is so much violence in this country, well we've created the culture for it and it's time for it to stop."

There are 37 additional Texas cities and one Florida city where local leaders are attempting to get a Sanctuary for the Unborn ordinance passed.
