The folks over at The Atlantic, well, I think they've let the Trump Derangement Syndrome go too far. It's metastasized.
Trump is LITERALLY Hitler. And LITERALLY Mussolini! And LITERALLY Stalin!
Yes, it's so bad that lefties have thrown in a commie to scare more Americans.
Here's the entire argument for why Trump is Hitler. And all these other villains.
The word vermin, as a political term, dates from the 1930s and '40s, when both fascists and communists liked to describe their political enemies as vermin, parasites, and blood infections, as well as insects, weeds, dirt, and animals. The term has been revived and reanimated, in an American presidential campaign, with Donald Trump's description of his opponents as 'radical-left thugs' who 'live like vermin.'
They're so delusional even that Anne Applebaum reaches into more obscure 20th century totalitarians and dictators to further draw out her point.
This kind of language was not limited to Europe. Mao Zedong also described his political opponents as 'poisonous weeds.' Pol Pot spoke of 'cleansing' hundreds of thousands of his compatriots so that Cambodia would be 'purified.'
And why does she bring up all of these examples?
Because Donald Trump calls illegal immigrants who kill, plunder, and rape Americans mean names. Of course, as all lefties, Anne makes the "mistake" of saying that Trump says this about all immigrants, legal and illegal. When, in reality, he's talking about the criminals who need to be deported right away.
He has said of immigrants, "They're poisoning the blood of our country" and "They're destroying the blood of our country." He has claimed that many have "bad genes." He has also been more explicit: "They're not humans; they're animals"; they are "cold-blooded killers."
Again, check the tape, check The Atlantic's sources, the media is not telling you the full context.
Trump is anti-illegal immigration, and he is in favor of deporting criminal aliens. He's not being wishy washy in his words. There's no question the targets.
But The Atlantic wants you to think he's the next Hitler because of mean words.
This is, probably, the funniest part of the whole thing.
Just this week, when Trump was swaying to music at a surreal rally, he did so in front of a huge slogan: Trump Was Right About Everything. This is language borrowed directly from Benito Mussolini, the Italian fascist. Soon after the rally, the scholar Ruth Ben-Ghiat posted a photograph of a building in Mussolini's Italy displaying his slogan: Mussolini Is Always Right.
"Borrowed directly from" Mussolini?
Are you serious? Do you think Trump and his people are watching Italian fascist rallies and planing their entire campaign to purposefully tie themselves with America's enemies in World War 2?
The mainstream media is desperate to make you scared of Trump, who we've already seen for four years.
