"The Shining" is an easy contender for the greatest horror movie ever made. To be sure, it made a mockery of Stephen King's equally-great novel. But apart from that, it was and is a towering testament to American cinema and reigns as one of the great accomplishments of film.

So if you've ever wanted to own the axe that Jack Nicholson uses in the film to waste Scatman Crothers—now you can!

Jack Nicholson's axe from "The Shining" has been put on the auction block courtesy of Gotta Have Rock and Roll auction house and is reportedly expected to be picked up for an insane amount of money.

The buzz-worthy prop is said to be in "very good" condition and has been preserved in a shadow box frame, TMZ reported Monday. It's being auctioned off alongside photos of it being used in the hit 1980 moving starring Nicholson. Bidding for the item opens up April 20, according to the outlet.

Sign me up! But don't, actually, because it's going to cost a pretty penny:

The infamous axe that was used by Nicholson in the film is expected to be sold for upwards of $100,000[.]

Give me half a chance and I'll bid $110,000 just to make sure I get it!

Of course, once the auctioneer comes around to collect, he's not going to be happy:

Maybe I'll move some money around and get it anyway. If anyone complains, I can say that all work and no play makes... well, you know.
