Pop quiz! Who remembers why the Pilgrims came to the US on the Mayflower?
Well, the entire reason the United States exists as it does today is because of a foundation built by a group of Christians who fled Europe so they could worship and raise their kids in a way they saw as proper and God-honoring.
Let's just say it's a good thing Joe Biden wasn't on Plymouth Rock that day, or they would have been sent straight back.
The Romieke family wanted to homeschool their children to bring them up in Christian education, but that sort of "extremism" is illegal in Germany. They did it anyway and faced fines ($9,000) and persecution, so they fled to the land of religious freedom and found a home in Tennessee. They followed the paths of the Mayflower Pilgrims.
Joe Biden's justice department said, "Get out of here, Jack!"
An immigration judge initially granted the family's application for asylum. The U.S. Department of Justice appealed the decision, and the U.S. Board of Immigration Appeals revoked the family's asylum status, documents show.
That's right - they were granted asylum after 15 YEARS in this nation, but Biden's men then appealed to have them kicked out!
The family, with the help of the U.S. Home School Defense Association, appealed to the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals. A three-judge panel unanimously ruled against the family.

So our US judges claim that the German law mandating government school is applied to everyone, regardless of religion, so "religious persecution" isn't happening.
Now, call me crazy, but a law that results directly in persecuting Christians like the Romiekes because of their religious conviction to homeschool their kids, is that not de facto an imposition on their religious freedom?
Honestly, it sounds like a trial run to implement these sorts of laws in the US, if you ask me. They're setting the groundwork.
Romeike said two weeks ago, an immigration agent asked his family to return in four weeks, with German passports, and to prepare to self-deport.
"Our oldest children were in school in the German public schools, and their personality literally changed," Romeike said. "We wanted to help them to grow up in what they believed in, and what we believe in and not get basically indoctrinated with something we don't want."
Romeike said since he and his wife moved to the U.S., they've had two more children and two of their adult children are married to U.S. Citizens.
"They work here. Everything is here in America," Romeike said. "We don't have any place to live there. I don't have any work to provide for my family over there."
Democrats call EVERY illegal alien coming across the border "asylum seekers." You've got millions of young, single men from Honduras, Afghanistan, Haiti, and Uganda pouring over the border by the thousands every day.
But this family who is actually being victimized by their home government and is seeking asylum through legitimate processes is being thrown out.
The Biden admin is working overtime to throw out a productive, Christian, German family with a legit asylum claim, throwing them back to the wolves.
I guess you can see where the government's priorities are!
Maybe if the Romieke family just went to Mexico, changed their names, and then swam across the Rio Grande, the Biden admin would welcome them.
