In the world of infinity genders, woke runners will now have the option to compete as neither a man or a woman:

Prospective Boston Marathon runners looking to participate in next year's event will be allowed to enter as nonbinary athletes without having to register as a member of the men's or women's divisions.

The Boston Athletic Association (BAA) made the announcement Monday as registration opened for the April 2023 event. A field of about 30,000 runners are expected to participate in the 127th running.

Think about that.

They don't have to be either a man or a woman, which defines the sum total of the entire human race, but can be a made-up fairy category where they run to the song of rainbows and unicorns.

Nikki Hiltz, a nonbinary pro miler and 1,500 runner who came out as transgender last year and nearly missed a spot on the U.S. team for the Tokyo Olympics, praised the move in a tweet.

"There's still so much work to be done but I'm thrilled that nonbinary runners are being acknowledged by the Boston Marathon and @BAA," Hiltz wrote.

Presumably, the nonbinary category will have its own equal prize for winning.

I look forward to seeing what burly-man-dressed-as-a-woman wins!

But personally, I don't think this goes far ENOUGH.

After all, who is to say that only humans should be able to compete in this event? What about people who identify as cheetahkind? Why are these bigoted Bostoners keeping cheetahselves from competing in a sport that they love?

And what about real cheetahs? Animals have feelings and rights too, ya know! Why not let the big cats join in on the fun?

I say this as a person who deeply identifies as a centaur.

As a human-horse hybrid, I have had violence committed against me by excluding me from running races where I'm told I can't use "my horse" to run the race, even though these hooves are literally my feet.

Where is the justice for marginalized, intersectional trans-species mutant minorities such as myself?
