In the original plans for China's new embassy in London everything looked fine, but apparently those were not the plans the British government approved.
The Telegraph uncovered the government's approval of 208 secret underground rooms in the embassy not disclosed on public plans, and one of those rooms looks like a data center that runs alongside some of the UK's most sensitive data cables.

You might think that would be worrisome to the British government, but according to The Times, leftist PM Keir Starmer is going to approve it anyway.
Sir Keir Starmer is poised to approve a new supersized Chinese embassy in the heart of London this week despite security concerns.
The embassy will be given the green light after MI5 and MI6 did not raise any formal objections to the plans. The announcement will be made before Starmer visits Beijing at the end of this month.
Of course, only a couple months ago, MI5 and MI6 were warning that China was actively recruiting thousands of spies in England's government.
Why worry about a few sensitive data cables connected to the nation's financial centers and government offices when the spies are already there?

The government will give its final verdict on the underground spy center on the 20th of January.
