Anyone else feel that cold draft that just came through?
A Boston woman just bought the creepy Rhode Island farmhouse that inspired the even creepier horror movie "The Conjuring."
The infamous 18th-century home in Burrillville is known for the paranormal activities that happened to a family who lived there in the 1970s.
The new owner, Jacqueline Nuñez, told the Boston Globe, "This purchase is personal for me... It's not a real-estate development. It's around my own beliefs."
Nuñez got the house for $1.525 million which was way over the $1.2 million listing price.
Who knew there was a market out there for haunted houses...
Nuñez is a developer but plans on keeping the house open to the public and continuing the paranormal business the previous owners started.
Some bidders may have paid anything to burn it down to the ground but not Nuñez.
She's not afraid of the house.
"I don't believe the energy here is malevolent. Things will happen here that will startle me, but not harm me," she said. "I look forward to experiencing things."
The previous owners, Cory and Jennifer Heinzen, bought the home in 2019 and opened it up to guest for a paranormal experience.
With the new ownership, guests will still be able to participate in the nightly paranormal investigations, day tours, and livestreamed events. And the Heinzens will remain involved.
The Heinzens only last a few years owning this ghost dwelling horror of a home.
I wonder why they decided to sell...
