According to U.S. Labor and Statistics data, eggs are currently at their highest prices ever, and there's no news on when prices may come down.
The average price of eggs in the U.S. is $8.03 per dozen.
Last Friday, Trump promised our new Secretary of Agriculture, Brooke Rollins, is going to address the problem:
‘She's going to do something with the eggs,' Trump said. ‘We inherited all the problems.'
Of course, when things are as ridiculous as this, the criminal element comes out in force.
And now, even the smugglers are getting into the egg business. Over the last month, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CPB) agents in Texas have stopped 90 people from smuggling eggs over the southern border.
90 people!
The CPB issued a reminder that raw eggs are prohibited from being imported into America from foreign countries.
The importation of raw/fresh eggs into the United States is generally prohibited due to concerns about diseases such as Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza HPAI
The funny part about that statement is that the Mexican government maintains the country is free from Avian Flu, which is weird since we've been told for four years that Avian Flu is being spread by wild birds, and the last time I checked, a lot of them like to vacation in Mexico.
Something doesn't add up there.

At any rate, I'll be egg-cited when prices get back to normal.
