Biden is restarting deportations to Venezuela in order to discourage illegal border crossings

Cannot believe that the White House could be so extremist and far-right to even think about doing something like this:

The Biden administration is restarting direct deportations to Venezuela in an attempt to reduce unlawful crossings along the southern border by Venezuelan migrants, who have journeyed to the U.S. in record numbers in recent weeks, federal officials announced Thursday.

You know, not that it matters, but if we're really interested in cutting down on "unlawful crossings" into the country, I feel like there is something we could build along "the southern border" to make those crossings less likely.

Fortunately, Biden is already ahead of me there!

The country wasn't chosen at random: Venezuelan immigrants have been flooding the U.S. border in recent months, arriving by the tens of thousands. Normally the government isn't quick to send illegal immigrants back there "due to its strained diplomatic relationship with that country's socialist government." I guess they decided otherwise this week though.

The Biden Department of Homeland Security said in an announcement that its plan shows it is "committed to strictly enforcing immigration laws and quickly removing individuals who do not avail themselves of these orderly processes and choose to cross our border unlawfully."

Ohhh yeah sure. Okay. Got it. It definitely doesn't prove that we're simply about a year out from what is sure to be a bitterly contested election, so you decided to deport people fleeing an actual communist hellhole for optics while still letting in people from a hundred other countries.

Uh huh.

They only take care of the border when they think they'll lose power if they don't. Remember that.
