The Fashion Awards named the first trans “Model of the Year” and the acceptance speech was as woke as it gets

Nope, this isn't The Babylon Bee.

A man named Alex Consani, who pretends to be a woman, has won Fashion Awards' Model of the Year.

His acceptance speech was truly inspiring:

Now, more than ever, we need to have meaningful conversations about how to uplift and truly support one another in this industry, especially those who have been marginalized

... I can't accept this award without thanking those who came before me, and specifically the black trans women that really fought for the space I'm in today.

The reaction on X was unanimous:

The actual story of Alex is a tragic one.

He was groomed from a young age by his parents. They began his transition when he was only 4 years old, and encouraged him into modeling when he was only 12. He began taking puberty blockers as well.

I was about three or four years old when I noticed that I was attracted to girls' clothes. So I slowly started wearing girlish clothes and became who I am today.

Pray for Alex to find hope and healing in Christ.
