The Trump administration and the GOP more generally have taken admirable steps against the violent, psychopathic drug cartels over the course of 2025.
So you love to see the DOS continuing that trend with a hefty paycheck for one of the most notorious cartel lunatics on the planet:
The U.S. Department of State is offering a REWARD OF UP TO $5 MILLION under the Narcotics Rewards Program for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of [Juan José Ponce Félix].
If you've been saying to yourself...
...now's your chance!
Although honestly, as alluring as a $5 million bounty is, you might want to think twice about going after this guy.
Over a decade ago Ponce Felix was leading a "fleet of cartel soldiers who engaged in acts of kidnapping, hostage taking, torture, and murder" in furtherance of cartel drug interests.
He later began heading up "Los Rusos," a "group known as the armed wing of the Sinaloa Cartel" loyal to El Mayo, one of the top leaders of Sinaloa.
Sinaloa, of course, is one of the most sadistically violent and demented criminal organizations on the planet, and Ponce Felix is very much cut from the same mold:
Ponce Félix [is] involved in the trafficking of firearms, as well as the perpetuation of violence, kidnapping, torture and murder as mechanisms to maintain his power and control over [the] valuable territory along the U.S.-Mexico border.
He is also involved in "public corruption schemes with various members of the government, police force, and military in Mexico," funneling upwards of $1 million per month in bribes to perpetuate his empire.
Federal authorities have been pursuing the crook for over a decade, and he has been indicted four times in California.
