It's a sad day for left-wing jOuRnaLisTs everywhere.

The Guardian, a British daily newspaper, has announced they will no longer be posting their stories on X.

The Guardian made the announcement, ironically, on the only platform where it would be noticed: on X.

The reason?

"Disturbing content promoted or found on the platform, including far-right conspiracy theories and racism."

According to the announcement:

The US presidential election campaign served only to underline what we have considered for a long time: that X is a toxic media platform and that its owner, Elon Musk, has been able to use its influence to shape political discourse.

The cherry on top? They posted a fundraiser at the bottom of the article to help them "stand up to Donald Trump."
