Y'all got dropped on your head and watched "Pocahontas" too many times as a kid...
Look at the view count on this video:
Here are a few of the replies:
I can't believe I need to say this, but sharks are murder machines that constantly roam the oceans in pursuit of blood.
They aren't out there with existential thoughts about helping other animals. This isn't "Finding Nemo." They are carbon-based murder missiles.
The only reason sharks generally leave humans alone is because their prefrontal cortexes are fixated on gobbling up whatever looks like prey and we are strange aliens in their underwater world.
But you people do realize that the real world isn't a Disney movie, right?
RIGHT?
At least Irunnia knows what's up:
Do some of you think that prey jumps into boats because it wants a chit-chat? Fam, you're driving a small floating island that the truck-sized death monsters can't reach.
Fun fact about turtles: They turn sideways to get away from sharks, especially bigger predators like tiger sharks that have the jaw power to crush their shells.
These battles can go on for quite some time, since sharks are fast and turtles are slow (I can't believe I need to spell this all out for some of you). If a turtle is getting tired and happens to see a boat it might be able to escape on, you better bet it's gonna try to get there.
And if that shark thinks it can get better leverage on that shell by using said boat, it's gonna try that too.
If you are still confused as to how reality works, I found the original high-def video from the men who saved the turtle two years ago:
Now that I've got you to this point, if you watch the above video, you'll notice that the boat color (and the color of the white dudes) changes when they show the line around the turtle's neck.
THAT'S BECAUSE IT'S NOT THE SAME VIDEO!
Someone edited it and lied to you to get clicks.
That's right, I just reeled you into a warning about trusting anything you see on the internet, especially something with Hindi-looking subtitles.
But some of you still won't listen to Harambe...
