I am not joking, you guys, this man who witnessed George Floyd's death is getting $150,000 in emotional damages money from the City of Minneapolis.

Everywhere this man looks he sees George Floyd. He's like that kid from The Sixth Sense.

Here's the scoop:

The Minneapolis City Council has agreed to pay a $150,000 settlement to an eyewitness who tried to intervene to prevent George Floyd's murder and who says he suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder as a result.

Donald Williams, a mixed martial arts fighter who testified against former Officer Derek Chauvin in his 2021 murder trial, sued the city last spring, alleging he was assaulted by police while trying to prevent Floyd's death on May 25, 2020.

The council unanimously approved the settlement without discussion Thursday, the Star Tribune reported.

The lawsuit alleged that Chauvin looked directly at Williams, grabbed a canister of chemical spray and began shaking it toward him and other bystanders expressing concern for Floyd's welfare. In video played at Chauvin's trial, Williams can be heard urging Chauvin to get off Floyd and denouncing the officer as a "bum." Former Officer Tou Thao stepped toward Williams and placed a hand on his chest, the lawsuit said.

$150,000 for witnessing George Floyd's death!!

Like, bro, I watched that stuff on YouTube, where's my money?

I'll wait.

So because of this witnessing of George Floyd's death and the treatment Mr. Williams received from police as he tried to intervene, he was awarded a $150,000 settlement in his suit against the city, which is essentially a loophole for reparations. Bro, I'm gonna tell all my black friends to intervene every time a black person is being arrested just in case that $150,000 is at stake.

Also, Donald Williams, seems like quite the guy:

I mean, cheers to Donald Williams for making him some money out of this ordeal, but boy, oh boy could this open up a huge bag of worms for the Minneapolis City Council.

You know everybody's gonna be lining up now, like,

Is this why they defunded the police up there in Minneapolis? To pay for stuff like this?
