Moderator for the next presidential debate Steve Scully is having a heck of an October.
First, he's called out for being biased because he used to intern for Joe Biden. Then, Scully sends a tweet out that probably should have been a DM, causing even more skepticism about his credibility:
Digging a deeper hole, Scully claims that he was "hacked" in order to explain the foolish tweet. Probably the same people who got Joy Reid. C-SPAN is also standing by this excuse for the time being.
Well, as it turns out, this is not the first time Steve Scully has claimed to be hacked on Twitter. Apparently, in 2012 there was an insensitive statement about weight loss that originated from Scully's account.
Then, a year later, there were more tweets from his account that he had to apologize for, but these were also a result of some elusive hackers!
This story is just hard to believe. Twitter hackers just seem to have it out for this C-SPAN host that nobody has even heard of until this week!
The story is made even sweeter by the fact that, in the best-case scenario, Steve Scully is just extremely careless with his online privacy. Someone needs to tell Steve about VPNs and 2-Factor authentication.
Keep checking back in, this story seems to be the gift that keeps on giving.
