Remember the Slender Man stabber who nearly killed a classmate in 2014 because Slender Man told her to?
Remember how a judge let her out of the mental institution in January, only 10 years into a 40-year sentence, despite warnings that it was not safe?
Yeah, let's see how that's working out:
Yep.
Fortunately, the search didn't take long. After fleeing on Saturday, authorities found Geyser by Sunday evening.
From Fox News:
The nationwide manhunt for Morgan Geyser, the Wisconsin woman convicted in the 2014 'Slender Man' stabbing, has come to an end, authorities announced Sunday night.
The Madison Police Department confirmed Geyser was taken into custody in Illinois at approximately 10:34 p.m., ending the intense search.
Geyser was found with an unidentified 42-year-old man.
This is apparently the dude who was with her when she was caught (he looks exactly like you expected):
So to sum up:
A judge was warned by prosecutors not to let a violent criminal back onto the streets.
The criminal showed clear interest in sexual violence and was communicating with a strange man.
The judge let her go anyway because three "expert" psychiatrists said she was ready.
Less than a year after release, she tried to flee the state with a sexual pervert, triggering a nationwide manhunt.

Many wonder if the real reason the judge gave parole is because Geyser's "gender" is "fluid."
A little reminder of what happened in the 2014 stabbing:
In 2014, Geyser stabbed Payton Leutner across her arms, legs and torso, hitting major arteries and severing her diaphragm. Geyser did this while [Anissa] Weier egged her on…
Geyser and Weier … ordered Leutner [to] lay down while they got help, leaving her for dead before the girl was found by a cyclist.
The girls claimed they were motivated by the fictional Slender Man, sparking a moral panic over potential copycat attacks as the character swept the internet.
Both Geyser and Weier told detectives they felt they had to kill Leutner to become Slender Man's 'proxies,' or servants, and that the character would kill their families if they didn't follow through.
Geyser will face new charges for cutting off her GPS monitor and fleeing the state.
