Remember when we were labeled domestic extremists for pointing out over and over again that lockdowns would have far-reaching consequences that would destroy people's bodies, minds, and souls?

Loneliness presents a profound public health threat akin to smoking and obesity, U.S. Surgeon General Vivek H. Murthy warned in an advisory issued Tuesday that aims to rally Americans to spend more time with each other in an increasingly divided and digital society.

Murthy said half of U.S. adults experience loneliness, which has consequences for mental and physical health, including a greater risk of depression, anxiety — and, perhaps more surprisingly, heart disease, stroke and dementia.

According to the Surgeon General's study, downward trends in interpersonal connectivity have been going on for years, although Covid plainly exacerbated them greatly.

The report is full of provocative claims, such as "lacking social connection is as dangerous as smoking up to 15 cigarettes a day" and exacerbates conditions such as heart disease and stroke (dying suddenly is due to isolation, I guess!).

All of this would be a sad little blip in the news cycle if it weren't for the fact that this man represents THE SAME PEOPLE WHO LOCKED US DOWN, DESTROYED OUR JOBS, AND ALIENATED OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY!!!

Let's just say people are not feeling sympathetic for ol' Doc Vivek.
