The Doomsday Clock has been a thing since 1947, when it was set at "7 minutes to midnight."

The prediction throughout the '50s and '60s, of course, was a nuclear war between America and the USSR.

It's worth noting that the clock was at "100 seconds" in January 2020, meaning these "experts" think the threat of apocalypse is at the same point as a time before a bioengineered Chinese virus, totalitarian takeovers, mask Nazis, inflation, the collapse of the Constitution, and the Tiger King.

If you think about it, they're actually being optimists!

Also, just throwing it out there – "100 Seconds To Midnight" would be a killer name for a Bond movie.

Anyway, I look forward to updating this during Hillary Clinton's fifth term when Oceania g̶o̶e̶s̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶w̶a̶r̶ ̶w̶i̶t̶h̶ continues its war with Eastasia and the doomsday clock is at 98 seconds to midnight!
