This is probably the strangest kite-flying incident you're apt to see all year.
The wind is so powerful on the Jaffna Peninsula that one of the men in this video was nearly carried away by this massive kite.
A harmless hobby of flying kites turned ugly for a group of youth in Jaffna, when a kite also dragged away a young man.
Video obtained by News 1st showed the young man hanging on to the rope while winds carried away the kite.
The incident is reported to have taken place in Point Pedro, the northernmost part of Sri Lanka situated in the Jaffna peninsula.
Okay, if we're being honest, it LOOKS like the guy in the video may have actually been jumping up with the kite before it eventually carried him off.
Probably not the best idea.
