If you haven't seen this Netflix show, I guarantee you will not expect what's coming in this clip ๐
BRO ... WHAT??
So this scene from the Season 1 finale of "The OA" ends with these guys distracting the shooter with interpretive dance, which allows someone else to tackle the perp, but in the struggle the gun goes off and hit this girl, the "Original Angel" main character, who was dancing alongside her pals from outside the window.
It's so dumb I don't even know where to start.
Like, man, I was so excited those kids were gonna be courageous and do something absolutely manly and honorable by risking it all to take down the shooter.
And then they just break into interpretive dance!
Imma give you a visual of how this scene would have actually gone down in real life:
Fans of the show have told me this dance was a magical ritual to open a portal to another dimension in order to stop the shooter, which somehow is supposed to make it better.

If you're gonna write sci-fi/fantasy, maybe don't require your Force-sensitive Jedi-types to spend a solid minute powering up their feels to stop an active shooting!
(You'll be happy to know this show got canceled after two seasons, but maybe fans can find it in whatever dimension the OA ended up in!)
Meanwhile, over on Wikipedia:
It has been listed by many publications as one of the best TV shows of the 2010s, the 21st century, and all time.
