So many like to complain about the lack of work ethic among the Millennials and Gen Z, but then you see people like this Amazon delivery guy in Cary, North Carolina.

I mean he's so driven to accomplish his job that he doesn't even let a police standoff with an armed suspect get in his way.

He just walks through their midst like they're not even there.

A police officer intercepted him before he could drop the package off and took it from him.

But he snapped a picture of the officer holding the package, so he could confirm delivery.

Amazon said they are looking into the incident.

"We always prioritize the safety of the drivers delivering our packages and we regularly communicate with them that if they don't feel safe, they shouldn't deliver the package and instead reach out for immediate support," Amazon spokesperson Sharyn Ghacham said in a statement to FOX Television Stations.

The standoff ended sadly though. The suspect had been holding an 11-year-old boy hostage. The suspect took his own life, and the boy is being treated for a gunshot wound.

There is no word on whether the Amazon customer ever got the package.
