Okay I'm downplaying his excitement; the guy's losing his stuff over this upside-down whale.
Seriously, is everyone in Australia a regular Steve Irwin when they see an animal in nature?
But to be fair, what he's witnessing is pretty amazing!
I love the drone footage of that baby and his mum. It's so cute.
If you listen closely when the over-excited Aussie isn't going on and on, you can hear the pair gently singing to each other.
Apparently, a mama whale doing a handstand like this is called tail sailing.
Whales stick their tail up and float vertically, upside down in the water. Some think it's a way for mother whales to catch a little rest while still keeping an eye on their babies.

I'll tell you this though, after watching that last one, the last place I would want to be is in a kayak edging in as close as I can when mama wakes up.
