I couldn't figure out why this ad out of Quebec wasn't funny, but I soon realized its target audience is liberals who think SNL is still funny.
It's from a couple months ago, but it's going viral again.
As a liberal Kylee WoMann would say: The joke is that American liberals are so embarrassed to live in America that when they visit Canadian hotels they have to whisper that they're American and then get a hug from the concierge because they've been through so much.
It's apparently a really good joke if you're a liberal.
And I'm gonna be honest, it's pretty funny in itself given the context that liberals are actually this embarrassed to be Americans.
