Agility Robotics recently announced they are beginning construction of the world‘s first, full-fledged humanoid robot factory, called "Robofab".

Agility's humanoid Digit robots have already proven to be adept replacements for the repetitive loading maneuvers warehouse workers have to perform, except they don't get injured, tired, or paid overtime.

Agility‘s goal is to create a viable, affordable workforce of robots to replace human beings.

CEO Damion Shelton says that their robots will,

"solve difficult problems in today's workforce like injuries, burnout, high turnover and unfillable labor gaps."

While customers can expect robot orders to begin fulfillment in 2024, by 2025, the factory will be producing 10,000 humanoid robots per year.

And yes, they plan on using Digits to make more Digits.

Soon there will be an army of these autonomous humanoid robots walking around loading and unloading boxes on shelves.

An army of robots … that sounds familiar.
