I know the media spent 4 years ignoring China because the Biden family is best buds with Chinese businessmen, but we might want to start paying attention now.
Here's Palmer Lucky, the inventor of the Oculus VR headset and cofounder of the defense contractor Anduril Industries:
While we're over here in the West debating the merits of windmills and drag queens, China is outfitting its entire merchant fleet with the ability to be an invasion force.
There's a reason they call themselves the "Middle Kingdom." The Han Chinese leadership see themselves as the center (or peak) of human existence, with a divine right to expand and rule.
[Warning: Two S-bomb in this next clip]
America still has the upper hand because it controls global airspace all the way up to orbit, but does that matter if China could destroy our economy by nationalizing all the factories that make American products?
Palmer goes on:
People think that the first missile to fly is going to be a Chinese ship firing at a US ship in the Strait of Taiwan. That's not the first missile. The first missile is gonna be [President] Xi calling up his buddies in the United States and saying, 'If the United States government tries to fight this, I'm gonna destroy your economy. I will do it tomorrow. I will kick all of you out, I will give away all your special waivers, we're gonna steal all your factories, we're gonna nationalize all your workers, and then we are going to sell iPhones to the entire world, and you will become irrelevant.'
Here's the clip of that (language warning):
China could wipe out entire companies like Apple with a stroke of his pen.
What will be our ability to respond with all our fancy missiles when our economy is in tatters and China starts loading all its container ships with tanks to invade the rest of SE Asia?
I'll let ya ponder that for a bit.
