This Florida recruit is about to be the tallest player in college basketball history
· Jun 21, 2024 · NottheBee.com

Bro, watching Oliver Rioux play basketball on a ten-foot rim is like watching highlights of myself dominating my children on our Little Tikes hoop in the basement.

Look at this kid!

The 7'9" Canadian!!!

He's an inch taller than Harlem Globetrotter Paul Sturgess, who previously held the record for tallest college basketball player, and five inches taller than fellow Canadian and soon-to-be NBA center Zach Edey.

Interesting also to note, Oliver Rioux made the Guinness Book of World Records in 2022 as the world's tallest teenager.

His shoe size, a whopping size 20!!!

An absolute freak.

At 8 years old, he was already over 6 feet tall and was almost 7 feet tall by the time he was in 6th grade.

His father is 6-8 and his mother is 6-2.

Rioux is from Quebec and is set to play basketball for the Florida Gators.

He is listed as 7-9 on their website, weighing 290 pounds.

Rioux moved down to Florida to play ball at the IMG Academy, essentially a sports boarding school, where he's gotten as much preparation for the SEC as humanly possible.

Okay, I gotta see more highlights of this kid.

Bro, that's just not fair!!

This kid NEEDS to play at a higher level, quite literally.

Can't wait to see what this kid can do for the Gators come November.
