Yes, a group of dudes played a round of golf at some point during the day on Monday, apparently argued the entire rest of the day over it, and then around 9:30 things escalated and a man bit off another man's nose.

The guys were staying at a hotel and casino right next door to the Mississippi course, so I'm guessing that they'd thrown a little money down on the game to make it more interesting.

I'd also guess that these men, or at least the one who bit off another man's nose, had been drinking. Probably all day.

Anyhow that's all just speculation...

Mark Wells, 51, allegedly sunk his teeth into the victim's nose in a casino parking lot Monday night and fled the scene in a Tesla before turning himself into police two days later.

Wells, the victim and others had been arguing about a golf round they played at Bridges Golf Course, next door to the casino, earlier in the day, according to Bay St. Louis police.

The men continued quarreling over the round throughout the day until it escalated in the parking lot of the Hollywood Casino around 9:30 p.m. and Wells, of Biloxi, allegedly chomped on the man's face.

His alleged bizarre and horrific attack left the man's face disfigured, police said.

I mean, I've seen guys fist fight over things like this, sure, but to bite off another man's nose, that's just outrageous!

He was charged with felony mayhem and could face up to seven years in prison if convicted.

Wells was booked into the Hancock County jail after turning himself in Wednesday morning. He was released shortly after after paying 10% down of a $50,000 bond himself, local station WXXV-25 reported.

All over a little game played with a little ball.

A game that will apparently make you do crazy things.

Hey, maybe he can work on his golf swing while he's in the slammer.
