The people punishing girls like this think they're the good guys.
Frances Staudt of Tumwater High School in Washington came into the national limelight in February when she refused to play against a team that had an 18-year-old boy.
I was investigated by the [Washington Interscholastic Activities Association] and Tumwater School District for harassment and bullying, and for 'misgendering' this individual.
She has endured a wave of hate for standing up for girls and girls' sports, including from the school officials who are supposed to protect her.
My own school guidance counselor Anna bush publicly came out against me in a letter to the district, as well as the teachers' union and other teachers, coaches, and administrators at my school posting several social media posts against me.
Then there was her principal:
I was told by my principal if I ever do so much as say anything like this again, that I would be subjected to further discipline and progressive consequences.
It takes real effort to be this evil.
Here's an interview Staudt gave back in February when her story went viral:
Since then, Staudt has absolutely refused to be silent, and has encouraged adults to be as courageous as her.
If 16-year-old girls can be this brave, so can you.
